What a night!🎉

I want to sincerely thank everyone who came out to our campaign launch. I was truly overwhelmed by the support, positivity, and energy in the room.

It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet so many new ones. Getting the chance to shake your hands, hear your concerns, and listen to what you believe Maple Ridge needs is exactly what this campaign is about.

You tell me where change is needed. I’ll listen, do the work, and help make that change happen.

Over the coming months, I plan to be out at community events across Maple Ridge, knocking on doors, meeting residents, and having as many conversations as I can. If you see me, please come over, introduce yourself, and tell me what’s on your mind.

The more I hear from you, the better I can understand where change is needed, where it isn’t, and how we can work together to move Maple Ridge forward as one community.

At the launch, I also had the opportunity to share some of the issues I believe we need to tackle together.

I spoke about respecting the decisions residents make through the referendum process. If Maple Ridge votes in favour of something, that decision will have my full support. If residents vote against it, I believe we need to listen, understand why, and be willing to explore better locations, different configurations, or more affordable alternatives.

I spoke about taxes and the need to take a serious, line-by-line look at City spending. Before continually asking taxpayers for more, we have a responsibility to find efficiencies, eliminate unnecessary spending, and make sure residents are getting real value for their money.

And of course, I spoke about something I’m incredibly passionate about: our business community. I want to help the businesses already here thrive while making Maple Ridge a city where new businesses want to invest, grow, and create good jobs.

This campaign isn’t about one issue or one part of our city. It’s about all of Maple Ridge, and the people who call it home.

There’s a lot of work to do, and I’m ready to get to it.
